Kamens & Associates recently welcomed students from the Livingston High School Future Business Leaders of America (FBLA) to its office as part of the students’ participation in a statewide FBLA competition focused on Social Media Strategies to help young adults prepare for tax season.
The Livingston FBLA team is competing in an event that challenges students to design and execute a social media campaign aimed at helping students and young adults better prepare for tax season. To support the initiative, members of the Kamens & Associates team met with the students to provide guidance, education, and tax-related content to assist with their campaign development.
During the meeting, Kamens & Associates accountants shared real-world insights into taxes, financial literacy, and the importance of early preparation, helping students translate complex tax concepts into accessible, youth-focused messaging. The collaboration allowed students to gain firsthand exposure to the accounting profession while applying classroom knowledge to a practical, real-life project.
“It’s inspiring to see young people focused on the future and taking active steps to prepare for it,” said Dianne E. Bazylewicz, CPA, Partner at Kamens & Associates. “Mentoring today’s youth is a core part of our philosophy, and supporting Livingston FBLA is an important way we put that into practice.”
According to Seth Kamens, Managing Partner, “This event reflects Kamens & Associates’ ongoing commitment to community involvement and education, particularly in supporting programs that prepare students for future careers in business and finance.”
