Seth Kamens, CPA, MBA,  Managing Member at Kamens & Associates, was a recent guest on the Good Neighbor Podcast. 

In a wide-ranging conversation with Host, Garfield Bowen, Kamens discussed his background as a CPA, his entrepreneurial prowess, and what to expect from your CPA. 

He stated, “The real value for a good CPA firm, and I’m not just talking about ours; I’m talking about ones that I work with, is that you’re advising clients. Are you in the right entity structure? Do you have the right retirement plan? Are you considering the timing of the year to make payments or to buy things? Conversations along these lines can significantly impact the bottom line.”   

In addition, Kamens offered key advice to relying on your financial advisor in both good times and bad. “Reach out to us in downtimes because we are an adviser to you. if you don’t use us in this capacity then, you are not taking advantage of someone that probably has a decent knowledge of what you are dealing with and how to help you.”
